You'll be hard pressed to find low flow showerhead in most retail stores.  We've tested all of these showerheads and feel confident that you will find one that works for you. Over the next few weeks we'll be adding some more content (including videos) to help you make the right choice. In the meantime , here are a few things to consider.

 

A standard showerhead consumes 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM).  Some consume a lot more. We've categorized our showerheads according to consumption. The lower the number, the more you save.  We even have a few  2.5 GPM for those who simply want a more powerful shower while using the same amount of water (or less if you have a shower pan).

 

The "value" showerheads are typically made of plastic and don't inject air into the stream. They work well (especially if you have sensitive skin) and have a super quick payback.

 

The premium showerheads are made of solid brass, inject air into the stream and are a little quieter than their plastic equivalent.  As a bonus, you'll get a nice surprise when you take it to your local metal recycling depot in 20 years!
